It was only a few days after Tohru had faced Kyo in his monstrous form. They were all sitting at the kitchen in Shigure's house. The fine wooden table was made of oak, the legs of the table made of pine and the house in general, well it was made of dogwood. "You know, I heard Momiji was coming over today." Said Shigure. "Oh my gosh! That's so great!" Exclaimed Tohru. Kyo, on the other hand, yelled in frustration, "I swear! That kid always gets on my nerves!" There was a knock on the door. "Come in! It's unlocked!" Said Shigure. "Idiot...." Yuki said, disappointed and a little scared knowing Shigure would leave the door unlocked, it came to mind that he probably would've left it unlock while everyone was asleep as well. Shigure, as usual with Yuki's insults, ignored it.
"Oh, hello Momiji. Welcome." Shigure said smiling. "Hey Shigure, Kyo and Yuki! So good to see you again! Say, Kyo, do you still have the hots for Tohru?" Said Momiji. "Darn it! You just had to say that didn't you?!" Kyo exclaimed furiously whilst pinching both of Momiji's ears. Momiji's reaction was the usual, "Wah!!! Shigure! Kyo's being mean to me!" Tohru was standing watching what Kyo was doing, deep down, she wished Kyo would stop, but she didn't know what she should do to convince him to stop. Eventually, she thought of something and said, "It's a wonderful day for a walk, Shigure, Yuki, Kyo, Momiji, do you want to go for a walk?" "Why, yes it is Miss Honda, I'd love to." Yuki said politely in that soft voice of his. "Alright, alright, I'll put up with that darn Yuki again if it means that much to you." Kyo said, he hardly ever seemed to say "no" to Tohru. "As much as I want to, I have a deadline to meet with my editor, we wouldn't want her to be disappointed now, would we?" Shigure said, trying to find some excuse. God knows what he was really planning, because anyone who knows Shigure, knows he's always trying to avoid his editor and is really never on time when it comes to his deadlines as far as writing goes.
"Yes! Yes! I'll go with you, Tohru!" Momiji exclaimed excitedly. Kyo thought to himself, darn it, now I have to put up with that annoying Momiji too.
They were walking in the forest near Shigure's house now, you could feel the tension in the air. Eventually, Kyo exploded, "Darn it! Yuki, why are you staring at me?!" "I'm not, I'm trying to see if the leeks are ready, but you're in the way. Stupid cat." replied Yuki, trying to look around Kyo, who was standing in the way. "Say that one more time!" Kyo said angrily. "Stupid cat." Yuki said again. "Darn it! Let's go! Right here and right now! A fight!" Kyo exploded. Kyo started to give Yuki a right hook, but before you knew it or could see what happened, Kyo was on the ground, laying on his back. Darn it! Someday I''m gonna beat that darn rat
, Kyo thought to himself.
"Stupid cat," Yuki said a third time "I don't know what gets into him like that." Tohru looked sorry for Kyo and helped him up. How can she be so nice after she saw all that
, Kyo thought to himself. "Momiji, was there a reason you came? I mean, was there anything you came to tell us?" Yuki asked. Momiji's face began to look a little worried, then he replied, "Yeah, I came to tell you that I heard Akito was coming. I'm not sure what he could want this time, but I'm afraid it might have something to do with Tohru again." Yuki was a little afraid, of course, this fear was nothing compared to when he actually saw Akito. "Yuki, what's wrong?" Tohru inquired. "Nothing." Yuki said, unwilling to startle her with the news.
